Launcher Notifications
The Launcher notifications management pane provides a way for game developers to create notifications about new updates, experiences, or events across their game ecosystem in order to drive high value engagement and exposure. Notifications can be trigged when the game is opened or pushed as long as the launcher is running in the background. Notifications can be delivered to all users and isn't dependent upon having a subscription.
Launcher notifications provides users a streamlined way to effortlessly follow their favorite developers. It ensures that they are the first to know about new content, exclusive challenges, and rewards. Notifications, either when the game opens or pushed into an already open game as long as the launcher is running in the background. This reduces the need for manual searching. Notifications can be received by all users and isn't dependent upon having a subscription.
Launcher notifications control
Use the Launcher notifications control pane to manage your Launcher notifications.
The pane contains two tabs:
- Live—notifications that are currently active.
- Inactive—notifications that are inactive.
Creating a new notification
To create a new notification:
- Press the Create notification button.
- Enter a title for your notification. (mandatory)
- Enter a description for your notification. (mandatory)
- Add a cover image. The image must be a PNG or JPG and 364px by 205px. (mandatory)
- Add a thumbnail image. The image must be a PNG or JPG and 60px by 60px. (mandatory)
- Select a priority from the dropdown. (default is 3-Normal)
- Select a trigger: (mandatory)
- Push notification—notifications will be pushed when the user's game is running in the background. (default)
- When Roblox is launched—notifications will be displayed when the user launches the game.
- Choose an activation period.
- Start Date (UTC)—the start date in UTC. (mandatory)
- End Date (UTC)—the end date in UTC. (mandatory)
- Enter a title for the main button. (mandatory)
- Enter a link that opens when the user presses on the main button. (mandatory)
- You can optionally enable an additional button. If you enable the additional button, add a label and a link.
The Preview pane provides a way for your to see your notification before you activate it. Press the Launch button to simulate the launching of the notification.
When the notification is complete, press the Create and publish button. Press the Cancel button, and then discard, if you are not ready to create or publish your notification.
You can verify that your notification is launched by finding it in the Live notifications table.
Live notifications
The Live notifications management tab contains a list of active notifications. The table contains the following columns:
- Notification title—the title of the notification.
- Priority—the priority of the notification.
- Trigger—the designated trigger for the notification.
- Start date (UTC)—the start date for this notification. (in UTC)
- End date (UTC)—the end date for this notification. (in UTC)
- Views—the number of times the notification was triggered.
- Clicks—the number of times the button was pressed.
- Status—indicates that the current notification is active or inactive. Statuses include:
- Live—the notification is actively running.
- Pending—the notification is saved and has not started.
- View—edit the notification settings.
- Deactivate—deactivate the notification. The notification will immedatly be put in the Inactive notifications table.

When you deactivate a notification, it will stop being delivered to users even if it's deactivated before the end date.
Inactive notification
The Inactive notifications management tab contains a list of inactive notifications. The table contains the following columns:
- Notification title—the title of the notification.
- Priority—the priority of the notification.
- Trigger—the designated trigger for the notification.
- Start date (UTC)—the start date for this notification. (in UTC)
- End date (UTC)—the end date for this notification. (in UTC)
- Views—the number of times the notification was triggered.
- Clicks—the number of times the button was pressed.
- Status—indicates that the current notification is active or inactive.
- View—edit the notification settings. This allows you to reactivate a notification based on a specific future date.
