Monetize your app
Congratulations! You’ve created a great app loved and used by many gamers. Now, you can start exploring the different monetization solutions offered by Overwolf, which can help support your development effort.
The following methods are popular ways of monetizing your app:
- Advertisements (Ads)—a method of monetizing your app without compromising user experience. In order to use ads, apps must comply with our Advertising Policy. For more information, see the Guidelines for ad integration.
- Subscriptions—a method for users to directly support your app development. You can upsell your app with extra features while still providing the app's core features for free. For more information, see Subscriptions.
All apps must integrate Overwolf ads, subscriptions powered by Tebex, or both. Overwolf won't approve apps that don't. Third-party monetization services aren't allowed.
All apps must be listed and distributed through the Overwolf Appstore. Overwolf doesn't approve private apps intended for personal use, and public distribution outside the Overwolf platform isn't permitted.
General payment terms for developers
- Payments will be processed based on NET 60 (for example, January's credit will be paid in April).
- Payments are made in the first week of every month.
- The minimum amount for each payment is $200 (net) based on the agreed revenue share. If the amount payable is less than $200, Overwolf will roll such amount over to the subsequent payment period until the total amount payable reaches a minimum of $200.
- Payments are processed via Payoneer (contact your DevRel manager to get the Payoneer registration link).
- Payments can only be transferred in USD.
- The revenue numbers in the Developer Dashboard are not final. Final numbers for payment will be sent separately via email after reconciling all numbers and campaigns.
Reporting
- The Developer Dashboard shows daily data on your app's performance and revenue.
- Video ad revenue is updated daily. Display ad revenue is updated monthly.
- For any reporting questions, contact your DevRel manager.
Invoicing
Overwolf pays you according to the revenue report it sends you by email at the end of each month. If you generate invoices from your accounting system, base them on that monthly revenue email and send them to finance@overwolf.com.
Each invoice must include:
- Company name.
- Company address.
- Payment amount.
